Executive Coaching
Executive coaching is an experiential leader development process that builds a leader’s capability to achieve short-term and long-term individual and organizational goals. Coaching Process
The executive coaching process can be somewhat fluid. As a result, there is a framework that I follow so that clients understand what to expect and to ensure that they experience tangible results. For more information, see the Resources section.
We start our coaching engagement with a contract to clearly articulate your goals, desired outcomes and our working relationship.
Typically, we meet three times a month. Each session is between 40 minutes and 1 hour. Based on my experience, this recommended frequency/session duration is optimal for gaining and maintaining momentum.
Sessions can be conducted in person or via Zoom. At each session, we create a “mini-contract” with specific goals for our time together. You bring a topic (or topics) to the session and we work together through a variety of methods to achieve the session’s goals while moving you closer to achieving your overarching goals.
At the end of each session, we identify how you want to utilize your new insights and what you want to focus on in preparation for our next session. I act as your accountability partner between sessions, making sure that you stay on track and answering any questions that may come up.
The executive coaching relationship ends when the desired outcomes are achieved. Coaching engagements usually last from 6 to 12 months, and should be at least 3 months in order to start seeing tangible results.
